Sylvia Jeffreys, age 34, is an Australian journalist, co-host & news presenter who is currently serving as a co-host of Today Extra along with David Campbell. Previously, she has been a reporter and presenter on Nine News, news presenter on the Nine Network’s Today, and reporter on A Current Affair.

Jeffreys was born on 23rd April 1986 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She was born to her social worker mother, Janine Jeffreys, and a Vietnam War veteran and former local alderman for the Liberty Party father, Richard Jeffreys.

She grew up with her older sister named Claire Jeffreys and an older brother named Aaron Jeffreys who is a restaurateur. Her parents separated when she was a toddler.

Later in 2016, Peter and Sylvia announced their engagement. And, after a year, they exchanged the wedding vows on April 1, 2017. Recently, she welcomed her first child, a son, named Oscar Hamilton Stefanovic with her husband on February 6, 2020.

Sylvia Jeffreys’ Career, Salary & Net Worth

Sylvia started her journalism career by joining the Nine Network in Brisbane in August 2005 where she worked as a script assistant. Later in 2008, she started reporting lifestyle stories on Queensland’s Extra program. She worked there for about one year before returning to the newsroom in 2009.

In January 2012, Sylvia moved to Sydney to join the Today show after working as a weather presenter on Nine News Queensland since 2011. She then started as a reporter and a fill-in presenter on Weekend Today, Nine Afternoon News, Today, & Nine Morning News.

Likewise, it was announced in December 2018, that she would not return to Today in 2019 and move on to other projects. After that, she started working as a reporter on A Current Affair before joining Today Extra. As of now, she is serving as a co-host at Today Extra along with David Campbell.
